Archbishop Daniel Visits the Spiritual Center
of the Mother Church of Constantinople
During short working visit to the Spiritual Headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in Istanbul, Turkey, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel met with the spiritual leadership of the Holy Church of Constantinople.
In his meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Archbishop Daniel discussed vital issues of the Church life pertaining to the United States of America and also in Ukraine.
In the evening hours of Friday – December 22, 2017, Archbishop Daniel escorted His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to a concert of Nativity Carols at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Taksim Square in Istanbul, TR performed by BLAHOVIST choir of Ukraine under the leadership of Maestro Tetiana Kumanovska. The Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul, TR organized the concert, marking 100 Years of Diplomatic Service of Ukrainian Diplomats.
Opening the program, the Consul General of Ukraine Oleksandr Gaman welcomed the Ecumenical Patriarch and various members of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Throne, expressing the gratitude of Ukrainian people for the love and concern of the Mother Church of Constantinople for her flock. Among those in attendance, were numerous diplomats of various Diplomatic Representations of their governments in Istanbul, TR, among the: the Consul Generals of Ireland, Greece, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, etc.
In conclusion of his short working visit to Ukraine, Vladyka Daniel visited with the members of Ukrainian Diaspora in Istanbul, reflecting upon the vital spiritual, social and moral life in Ukraine and throughout the world.
